Lumatek - 650W VF Series Driver

This 650 watt driver feeds several fixtures from the Lumatek VF range at once. The VF lamps carry no driver of their own, so without this component they do not run.

One driver for a whole rack

On an ordinary grow light the driver sits on or against the fixture. On the VF range it has been taken out and mounted separately, which is not a saving but the heart of the design. On a rack you want as little thickness as possible above each layer, and the driver is the thickest, heaviest part of an LED lamp.

With the driver in a fixed spot outside the layers, three things follow. The fixtures stay flat, so more height is left for your crop. The heat of conversion happens in one place rather than above every layer. And you control the whole run at once, because whatever the driver does, every lamp hanging off it does too.

Work out in advance how many lamps fit: add up the wattages of your fixtures and stay under 650. Seven 90 watt lamps make 630 and fit; six 120 watt lamps make 720 and do not. If you meet that ceiling, a second driver is the answer rather than loading this one harder.

How many VF lamps can I connect?
