Lumatek Daisy Chain 5M Control Link Cable

This five metre control cable links dimmable Lumatek fixtures in series, with self-locking M12 connectors at both ends and sealing to IP65.

This is not an extension lead

No power runs over this cable. It carries only the control signal by which a controller or driver tells the fixtures how hard to burn, and that is a voltage of at most ten volts. Which is why it is thin, and why you can run it alongside a row of lamps drawing hundreds of watts without it mattering.

The connectors are the point. An M12 coupling screws home rather than pushing in, and in a growing space that is no luxury: there is spraying, there is humidity, and a control plug hanging half out does not throw a fault, it leaves a lamp quietly stuck at the wrong setting. You find that out when you go and look. The sealing is brought to IP65 for the same reason.

When installing: count how many links you need first, because you need one per connection between two fixtures rather than one for the whole run. Do not pull the cable taut between two lamps you may want to lower later, and keep it clear of your power cables where you can.
