AC Infinity Climate Sensor for Controller 69 Pro and UIS Devices

Which sensor belongs with which controller

AC Infinity makes two climate probes that look nearly identical, cost about the same, and do not fit each other's controller. That is the most common ordering mistake on the UIS platform, so here they are side by side.

• This sensor, AC-SPB20. For the Controller 69 Pro, the Pro+, the T-series fans and other UIS equipment. Cable 6.1 metres, 3.5 mm plug. Reads temperature and humidity.
• The AI Climate Sensor, AC-SPC24. For the Controller AI+ only. Cable 7.3 metres. Reads temperature and humidity and calculates VPD alongside them.

So check which controller you have first, and order by model number rather than product name. The names are too similar to rely on.

What you use it for

Besides replacing a damaged probe, the most common reason is wanting to measure at a specific point. With 6.1 metres of cable you reach deep into a tent, into a duct or into a cabinet, while your controller stays somewhere you can reach it.

Hang it at canopy height, free among the crop, out of direct lamp light and out of the direct airflow from your inlet or outlet.

Does it fit the Controller AI+?
No. You need the AI Climate Sensor for that, model AC-SPC24.

Does it measure VPD too?
It measures temperature and humidity. Whether a VPD figure is calculated from them depends on your controller.

Can it go in a duct?
Yes, which is partly what the length is for. Bear in mind you are then measuring duct temperature, not the temperature at your crop.

How do I know which model I need?
Check your controller. The 69 Pro and UIS equipment take this one; the AI+ takes the other.
