AC Infinity - SPECTRON 3 AI Grow Camera 4K

A 4K grow camera that keeps an eye on your tent when you are not there. The SPECTRON 3 clamps onto a pole of your grow tent, takes photos and video of your plants and lets you watch live through the AC Infinity app, even with the lights off.

What a camera sees that a sensor does not measure

A climate sensor tells you how warm and humid it is. It does not tell you that the top leaves are starting to curl, that one plant is stretching faster than the rest, or that the buds are behind your last run. You only see that by looking, and this camera does the looking, always from the same angle.

The built-in AI flags signs of stress and changes in the environment, and also tracks the growth stage, the growth rate and how the buds develop. According to AC Infinity the recognition is tuned to hemp plants. That gives you a prompt to adjust water, nutrients or care, instead of finding out when you open the tent.

Checking in the dark without light in the tent

During the dark period the camera switches to 940 nm infrared night vision. That is far outside the light plants use, and AC Infinity calls it plant-safe. So at night you can check for a leak, whether the extraction is still running or whether a branch has snapped, without opening the door. Night vision reaches 10 metres, plenty for any grow tent.

A timelapse of a whole run

Photos and video are captured in 4K, 8 megapixels. That lets you record a complete run as a timelapse: useful for seeing when a plant really turns to flowering, or for putting two runs side by side. Storage needs a microSD card, which is not included.

Together with an AI controller

Pair the camera with an AC Infinity AI climate controller, such as the Controller AI+, and what the camera sees can trigger an action. The manufacturer gives dimming the lights when heat stress is detected, and adjusting devices when the tent door opens, as examples. Without a controller the camera simply works on its own through the app.

Mounting in the tent

The adjustable clamp fits around any tent pole. Two joints that rotate 360° let you set the angle exactly: straight above the canopy, or from the side at an angle to follow how tall your plants are getting. The housing is waterproof to IP67, so humidity in the tent or a splash while watering is not a problem.

Frequently asked questions

Does the camera work on 5 GHz WiFi?
No, 2.4 GHz only. Before pairing, check that your router broadcasts a 2.4 GHz network.

Does the night vision disturb the dark period?
The camera uses 940 nm infrared, which is far outside the light plants use. AC Infinity therefore calls it plant-safe.

Is a memory card included?
No. You need your own microSD card for photos, video and timelapses.

Do I need a controller?
No. Watching, recording and the insights on growth and stress run through the app. You only need an AC Infinity AI controller if you want the camera to have devices adjusted.
