Watches your reservoir around the clock for pH, conductivity and temperature, and sends an alert to your phone the moment a value leaves your limits.

The Bluelab Guardian Monitor Wi-Fi mounts on a wall or hangs from a support with two probes in your nutrient solution. The large backlit display shows all three values at once, with plant-safe green LEDs whose brightness you can adjust, so the monitor does not disturb your dark period.

For each value you set an upper and lower limit. Cross it and the alarm goes off. Settings survive a power cut.

What Wi-Fi actually buys you

A monitor without a connection can only raise the alarm where it hangs. That is already worth a lot, but only if you are there.

With Bluelab's Edenic app that changes in three ways.

Alerts come to you. If something goes wrong in your reservoir while you are at work or away for a weekend, you know immediately rather than on your return. On a recirculating system where one reservoir feeds every plant, that is the difference between correcting and clearing up.

You get history rather than snapshots. A single reading says little; direction is what counts. In the app you see the trend across days and weeks, you can compare crops, and you spot a slow drift that separate readings would never reveal.

You can change alarm limits remotely. The connection works both ways, so you do not have to walk to the tent to move a limit when your schedule changes.

One detail worth knowing: the monitor keeps measuring for about a day if the internet drops, stores those readings locally, and syncs them once it reconnects. A brief outage therefore costs you no gap in your data.

If you would rather not connect it, the Wi-Fi can simply be switched off. The monitor then works as an ordinary monitor with a local alarm.

Can it correct or dose by itself?
No, this is a monitor. It measures, displays and warns; correcting is up to you.

Do I have to use Wi-Fi?

Why green LEDs?
Because green light disturbs your plants' dark period least. Brightness is adjustable as well.

Can the probes stay in the solution permanently?
Yes, that is what the monitor is for. Continuous use does shorten the pH probe's life: it is replaceable via the BNC connector.
