What a climate controller does and does not do

The name sets an expectation the device does not meet, and it is worth correcting up front.

A climate controller like this controls fans. Nothing more. It measures your temperature and adjusts the speed of your extraction or intake accordingly. That is a powerful tool, because ventilation is by far the most important lever you have.

But there is a limit, and it is physical: you cannot get cooler than the air you are drawing in. If it is 30 degrees outside, extracting harder will not bring you below 30. At that point it stops, and you need cooling rather than more ventilation.

The same applies in the other direction. This controller does not heat. The 5 to 55 °C range is what it can measure and control within, not what it can create in your room. If it gets too cold it winds your ventilation back to the set minimum, and that is as far as it goes. For warmth you need a heater, and to drive one, a relay box with a heater contact.

So what you are buying is accurate, quiet control over the most important variable in your room. What you need alongside it, if your climate sits at either extreme, is equipment that adds or removes heat.

Can I connect my heater to it?
No, this is a speed controller for fans. For heating you need a controller with a heater contact.

My room gets too hot even at full power.
Then the incoming air is too warm or your fan is too small. More control will not fix that.

So what does 5 to 55 °C mean?
It is the range within which the controller can measure and work, not what it can achieve in your room.

What is the difference from the 7 and 16 amp?
Only the maximum load. The control, the settings and the housing are the same.
