The LED microscope 60x has the same arrangement as the 45x version. Adjustable magnification and focus, two LEDs, a storage pouch, but goes a step further in detail.

More magnification is not automatically better

Choosing the highest magnification you can get sounds sensible. In practice you give up two things, and whether that is worth it depends on what you are looking at.

Your field of view shrinks. At 60x you see a smaller patch of leaf at once than at 45x. For judging a single trichome head that is fine. For sweeping a leaf for early spider mite, a wider view works faster, because you shift position less often.

Your depth of field shrinks. The higher the magnification, the thinner the slice that is in focus at once. A trichome head sits on a stalk and is therefore not flat; at 60x the head is sharp while the stalk is already blurred. That gives finer detail but demands a steadier hand and more adjusting.

The rule of thumb: 60x for judging, 45x for searching. To see precisely whether a resin gland is milky or already amber, the extra detail helps. To check a leaf quickly, a wider view is more practical.

At this magnification, brace your hand or rest the leaf on something solid. Freehand on a moving plant, 60x is hard to hold in focus.
