The 100 ml jug is graduated in 10 ml steps. This 250 ml is graduated in 5 ml steps. So it holds two and a half times as much and reads twice as finely. Only the 50 ml matches the same 5 ml, and that one is too small for most work beyond a handful of doses.

That makes this the jug you will reach for most often:

• Additives and stimulants, usually dosed at a few millilitres per litre.
• Base nutrient for a medium reservoir, where you want to work to 5 ml.
• Measuring pH down, where a small error carries straight into your solution.

The handle helps more than you would expect. Pouring a concentrated product, you want to tilt the jug steadily without your fingers over the lip.

Is this genuinely more accurate than the 100 ml?
Yes. 5 ml per division against 10 ml. For doses up to 250 ml it is the best choice in the range.

Which size do I need for my reservoir?
Choose on your dose, not your reservoir volume. Measuring 40 ml of feed for 40 litres of water, a 250 ml jug is ample.

Can I measure several products in it?
One after another, rinsing in between. Never mix two undiluted concentrates in the same jug.
