The Nido One V2 is a nutrient computer with four dosing channels you assign to your own schedule: A+B+C with pH down, A+B with pH up and pH down, or another combination. Alongside the nutrient side, the kit includes a temperature, humidity and VPD sensor, and with Nido plugs you automate humidification, dehumidification, heating and extraction. Works online and offline.

What a nutrient computer takes over, and what it does not

Automatic dosing sounds like the end of daily measuring. It is not, and it is better to know that in advance than to discover it.

What it takes over: correcting. The computer measures continuously and doses small amounts to hold your values at their setpoint. That is work no person can match, not because it is difficult but because it never stops. A reservoir drifting overnight gets corrected at three in the morning rather than the next day.

That is also the biggest gain: your values fluctuate far less. Correcting by hand always means drifting, noticing, pushing back: a sawtooth. Automatic dosing keeps the line flat, and a flat line is what your crop wants most.

What stays yours:

• Calibration. The computer steers on what its probes report. If a pH probe drifts, it will dose diligently towards a wrong number. With more conviction than you would ever manage by hand. This computer calibrates at two points (7.01 and 4.01) and has a warning system, which is exactly why that is there.
• Probe maintenance. A pH probe in permanent use is a consumable. Cleaning and timely replacement stay manual.
• Keeping stock topped up. An empty container is not announced by your crop, but it is by your computer, provided you look.
• Thinking about your schedule. The computer executes what you set. A wrong setpoint will be maintained accurately.

The rule of thumb: a nutrient computer replaces your hands, not your eyes.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work without internet?
Yes, it runs both online and offline. The connection is for remote control and insight, not for dosing.

How often should I calibrate the probes?
Regularly, and the warning system reminds you. This is the single most important maintenance there is: a computer steering on a drifted probe does more harm than no computer.

Can I use it with a recirculating system?
Yes, that is what it is built for. Hydroponics and RDWC in particular, where one reservoir feeds every plant so one value going astray hits all of them.

How many devices can it control?
Through Nido plugs you drive lighting, pumps, fans, humidifiers and heating. The number depends on how many plugs you add.

What happens during a power cut?
Nothing is dosed and nothing is measured while there is no power. On a recirculating system, aeration is the bigger problem at that moment than dosing.
