A Wi-Fi socket that switches lights, extraction, humidifiers and pumps through the Nido app. Up to 20 plugs per Nido system, 2 kilowatts each.
The Nido Smart Plug brings any mains device under the control of your Nido system. Communication is over Wi-Fi, with a working range of up to 10 metres from the Nido.
From measuring to switching
A sensor that reports a problem is useful. A sensor that fixes the problem while you sleep is something else, and that is exactly what a switchable socket adds to a system that already measures.
The principle is simple: your Nido knows your temperature and humidity, and the plug decides whether power flows. Connect the two and you have control.
- Lighting: the day and night cycle, on fixed times.
- Irrigation: your system's water pump on and off, on the cycle you set.
- Climate: extraction, fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers and heating, switched on the temperature and humidity values you set in the app.
That third category is where most is to be gained, for the same reason as with dosing: the correction arrives when things go wrong, not at your next round. A dehumidifier kicking in at two in the morning, when humidity climbs after lights-out, prevents precisely the problem most flowering troubles come from.
Note the limit of 2 kilowatts per plug. Ample for lamps, pumps and most fans; check it for heavy heating.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work without a Nido system?
It is intended as part of a Nido setup; that is where the sensor values driving the switching come from.
How much can I connect to it?
One device per plug, up to 2 kilowatts. For more devices you add plugs, up to a maximum of 20.
What happens if the Wi-Fi drops?
Nothing can be switched. Equipment whose failure causes immediate damage (aeration, for instance) is best not put behind a switchable socket.
Can I time my lighting with it?
Yes, the day and night cycle is set in the app.
