Your EC decides what fits, not your schedule

A PK booster is not an additive in the sense of a few drops that do nothing to your solution. It is a concentrated salt input, and it counts in full towards what the plant has to deal with in dissolved solids.

That is the point almost no PK bottle carries and it decides whether this goes well. Your plant has a ceiling on the total salt concentration it can handle, and that ceiling does not move because the salt you added is phosphate and potassium rather than your base feed. Put a PK on top of a full base dose and you are adding two salt loads together.

There are two outcomes. Go past the tolerance and you see classic over-feeding: burnt leaf edges, a plant taking up water without growing. Or, more subtly, uptake of the very elements you asked for drops off, because too much is competing for the same place.

The practical rule: measure your EC before adding the PK and after, and bring your base feed down if you go over. It is a budget, not a sum. Making room for the PK matters as much as the PK itself.

The name says 13-14, the usual ratio for this product category. Atami publish no guaranteed analysis for this product, and so no percentage appears on this page.

What Atami do state: it is a liquid mineral feed with directly available phosphorus and potassium, intended for the flowering period, and it can be added to the reservoir at the same time as your regular base nutrients. That last part saves a step compared with products that must go in first or last.

Dosing

Add it to the reservoir along with your base nutrients and mix through. Check your EC afterwards, and correct pH last. For use in soil, coco, rockwool and all hydroponic systems.

If the tank turns cloudy after adding, something is precipitating. With PK products that is usually phosphate bonding to calcium, and it happens more readily the higher the pH sits.

When do I add it?

Can I feed it all through flowering?
Atami specify the flowering period. Keep the duration and the dose from the same brand rather than mixing them across brands.
