An ultra-concentrated root booster for seedlings, cuttings and the first weeks of vegetative growth. Dosed at 0.1 to 0.3 ml per litre, the leanest dose on this shelf.

Ten to twenty-five times less than the rest, and that is not a detail

Most root stimulators in this range ask for 1 to 2.5 ml per litre. This one asks for 0.1 to 0.3. That is a difference of an order of magnitude, and it changes how you handle the bottle.

At 1 ml per litre, a splash too much is a rounding error. At 0.1 ml per litre, a splash too much is a tripling. A ten litre bucket wants one to three millilitres here, and that is a quantity you measure with a syringe rather than the cap.

Factor it into price comparisons too. A bottle you use a quarter as much of tells a very different story per treated reservoir than the price on the label suggests.

Why overdosing a root product bites particularly hard

There is a bitter logic to overdosing a root stimulator, and it is why the dose matters so much here.

You use it on a plant that has barely any roots: a cutting just taken, a seedling a week old. That small root system is precisely the part sensitive to a high salt concentration in the medium. Young root tissue has no thick walls yet and sits in direct contact with the solution.

Overdose and you damage the very tissue you were trying to grow, and what you see looks like a deficiency: a cutting standing still, limp leaf, no new roots. The temptation is then to feed more, which makes it worse.

So stay at the bottom of the range while in doubt. With this product 0.1 ml per litre is a full dose, not half of one.

In use

Mix 0.1 to 0.3 ml per litre of feed water and use it on seedlings, cuttings and through the first weeks of vegetative growth. For use in soil, coco fibre, rockwool and all hydroponic systems.

Measure it with a syringe or pipette. At these quantities that is not excessive precision but the only way to actually hit the dose on the bottle.

Frequently asked questions

Is 0.1 ml per litre not too little?
No, that is the dose Atami give. The product is considerably more concentrated than most stimulators on this shelf.

What happens if I give too much?
You damage young root tissue, which is sensitive to high salt concentration. It looks like a deficiency, which leads people to feed still more.

How do I measure so little?
With a syringe or pipette. A ten litre bucket wants one to three millilitres.

Can I keep feeding it later in the cycle?
Atami specify the first weeks of vegetative growth. After that root formation is largely done.

Is it more expensive than the other stimulators?
Work it out per treated reservoir rather than per bottle: you use a fraction of what a 1 ml per litre product needs.
