Atami - B'cuzz Soil Booster Universal

A growth booster from Atami for growing in soil. 0.1 to 0.5 ml per litre, daily when watering, from the growth phase onward.

Three bottles, one composition

Atami sell this booster in three versions: Soil, Hydro and Coco. It is natural to assume the contents differ too, and it is more honest to say that they do not appear to.

Atami describe the Booster Uni on a single product page, with one composition, one dosage and one pack range. There is no separate description per substrate, and no NPK either: the field is left blank. What it does say is that the booster consists of two components, a natural plant extract and a combination of nitrogen, magnesium and iron.

So we do not add a difference the manufacturer does not make.

What does differ is the schedule around it

Atami publish a separate grow guide per substrate, and in all three the booster sits on exactly the same line: 0.5 ml per litre, in the growth columns only. Everything around it diverges.

• pH: 5.8 to 6.5 in soil. Coco runs 5.5 to 6.0 and hydro 5.5 to 5.8, so soil gets the highest and widest window of the three.
• Base feed: B'cuzz Soil A and B climb from 2 to 3 ml up to 4 to 5 ml. On coco and hydro the base feed stays much lower, 1 to 2 ml rising to around 3 ml.
• Cal-mag: 0.2 to 0.3 ml in soil, tapering to 0.1 to 0.2. Coco starts at double that.

That is the real answer to which bottle you need. You are not choosing the booster that suits your substrate, you are choosing the schedule that suits your substrate, and the matching booster comes with it.

Why soil gets a wider pH window

Potting soil and peat buffer. There is a reserve in the medium and life working on that reserve, so a feed that lands slightly off gets absorbed. An inert medium does none of that: there, the nutrient solution is all there is, and you have to steer more precisely.

That explains why Atami hold 5.8 to 6.5 on soil and leave only 0.3 of a pH unit on hydro. It also explains the stronger base feed on soil: the medium takes part of it up and gives it back later.

Where the booster sits in the order

Atami run the B'cuzz Root Stimulator for the first two weeks, and state explicitly that it is then replaced by a B'cuzz Booster. So the booster is the successor, not an extra alongside it.

For the best result you pair it with the B'cuzz bloom stimulator. The booster itself combines with any base nutrient and any additive, including outside the Atami range.

In use

Shake well. Mix 0.1 to 0.5 ml per litre of nutrient water and give it daily when watering, from the growth phase. Atami's grow guide puts the growth-phase feed at 0.5 ml, so at the top of that range.

Steer on your EC. Atami hold 1.2 to 2.8 across the cycle and say themselves that all doses are indications depending on crop, conditions and light intensity. Store the bottle at room temperature.

Atami publish no difference. One product description, one composition, the same 0.5 ml in all three grow guides. What differs is the schedule around it.

Then why three bottles?
Because each substrate has its own schedule, with its own pH window and its own base feed. You buy the bottle that belongs to that schedule.

Does this carry on into flowering?
In the grow guide the booster appears in the growth columns only. For flowering Atami bring in the bloom stimulator.

What is the NPK?
