Atami - B'cuzz Soil Nutrition A+B

A two-part mineral base nutrient for growing in soil, for the whole cycle. A carries nitrogen and potassium, B carries phosphate and potassium. Dose 1 to 5 ml per litre of each, depending on how heavily your soil is pre-fertilised.

More A in growth, more B in bloom

This is the property that sets this bottle apart from a single-bottle base nutrient, and it appears on almost no shop page.

The two components are not two halves of the same thing. Atami declare them separately: A as NK 3-3 and B as PK 3-4. So A brings nitrogen and potassium, B brings phosphate and potassium. Because you measure them out yourself, you can shift the ratio.

Atami say as much in so many words: for the growth phase dose slightly more A, for the flowering phase slightly more B. That is exactly what the plant asks for in those phases, since nitrogen drives leaf and shoot while phosphate goes into flower set.

That makes this feed tunable in a way a one-component bottle cannot be. If you like to steer, here is the dial; if you would rather not think about ratios, the one-component version from the same range suits you better.

One limit though: it remains a single base nutrient for the whole cycle rather than a separate growth and bloom schedule. You are shifting an emphasis, not replacing a recipe.

How heavily fertilised is your soil already

With Atami the dose hangs on your potting compost rather than on the phase, and that is a distinction many schedules skip.

On heavily pre-fertilised potting compost you use 1 to 3 ml per litre of A and of B. On lightly fertilised potting compost, 1 to 5 ml per litre of each. The reason is simple: a rich soil already supplies part of it in the early weeks, and what you pour on top adds to that.

So find out what is in your bag before you pick a number. If the packaging says nothing about fertilisation, start at the bottom and work up while watching your crop and your EC.

Mixing

The A and B concentrates may only be mixed with each other in combination with water. So never pour them together undiluted in a bottle or a jug: in concentrated form certain nutrients react with each other, and what precipitates out then never reaches your plant.

Add them separately to your tank of water and stir in between. Note that this is a different instruction from the Hydro version in the same range, where Atami say A and B must go into the water simultaneously.

What it is meant for

Atami call this a universal base nutrient, and that refers to the breadth of the application: indoors and outdoors, and for the whole growth cycle rather than one phase. It is not universal across substrates. For coco and for inert media there are separate versions in the same range.

The packaging is polyethylene and fully recyclable, free of PVC and cadmium.

Frequently asked questions

Do I always have to dose A and B equally?
Not necessarily. Atami advise slightly more A in growth and slightly more B in bloom. Equal dosing is the safe starting position.

1 to 3 or 1 to 5 ml?
That depends on your potting compost, not on your phase. Heavily pre-fertilised is 1 to 3, lightly fertilised is 1 to 5.

Can I premix A and B together in a bottle?
No. The concentrates may only meet each other in water. Pouring them together undiluted lets nutrients react with one another.

What is the difference from the one-component version?
That one is in a single bottle at a fixed ratio. This one lets you shift the ratio between A and B yourself, at the cost of measuring twice.

Can I use this on coco?
No, there is a separate Coco version for that. This one is calculated for the properties of soil.
