Soil 1 Component is Bio G Power's single-part base feed for growing in soil: one bottle for growth and bloom alike. Its directions carry one instruction you will not find on any other bottle on this shelf.

Let the mixed reservoir stand for a few hours

Bio G Power specify: dissolve 250 ml in 100 litres of water, stir well, and then let the nutrient solution stand for a few hours before you water.

That is unusual. Every other manufacturer on this shelf has you mix, measure and pour, in that order and without waiting. Here there is a step in between, and it is exactly the kind of step you skip if you do not know why it is there.

What the resting period does they do not say, and we are not going to invent an explanation around it. What it means in practice is this: if you mix your reservoir at the moment you intend to water, you are not following the directions. Mix it earlier: in the morning for an afternoon feed, or the evening before.

It also fits the rest of their advice. They explicitly note that you can adjust the EC by dosing higher or lower, and correct the pH if you wish with their own pH plus or pH min. Those are all things you do to a reservoir that is standing anyway.

What to expect on your meter

At the specified ratio of 1 in 400, Bio G Power state the EC comes out between 0.9 and 1.6 mS.

They add the arithmetic, which is tidier than most declarations: that is the EC of the feed plus the EC of your tap water. So your tap water counts toward that figure. If yours runs high, you reach that 0.9 to 1.6 with less feed than someone on soft water, and you are giving less of everything in it.

Bio G Power publish no analysis for this product. An NPK does appear against a different product in their range, but that belongs to another bottle and we do not attach it here.

One bottle, the whole crop

This is a one-component feed: there is no separate growth and bloom version. You give the same bottle from start to finish and steer with the quantity rather than the composition.

That is pleasantly simple, and it has one consequence worth knowing. There is no bloom switch in your schedule. If you want the shift toward more phosphorus and potassium in flower, it comes from a separate product and not from this bottle.

It dissolves quickly and suits irrigation systems as well as hand watering. Shake the bottle well before use.

Frequently asked questions

Do I really have to wait after mixing?
Bio G Power specify it: stir, then let the solution stand for a few hours. So mix your reservoir before you intend to water.

How much do I use?
250 ml per 100 litres of water, a ratio of 1 in 400.

Does my tap water count toward the EC?
Yes. The stated 0.9 to 1.6 mS is the feed's EC plus that of your tap water.

Do I need a separate bloom feed?
This bottle runs the whole crop. If you want more phosphorus and potassium in bloom, that comes from a separate product.

What is the NPK?
Bio G Power publish none for this product.
