Base Nutrition A+B is Bio G Power's two-part base feed, usable on hydro, coco, rockwool and potting soil. Its directions carry one line most growers miss, and it can save you a good deal of trouble.
On pre-fertilised potting soil: halve your dose
Bio G Power write it out plainly: when used on fertilised potting soil, halve the dosage.
That sounds like a detail and is not one. Potting soil is generally sold pre-fertilised: it already contains feed, enough for the first weeks. Pour a full dose on top of that and you are adding the two together, which shows up as an EC higher than you calculated and a plant that is not pleased about it.
On an inert medium this does not arise. Rockwool and clay pebbles contain nothing, so what you give is what is there. That is exactly why the instruction exists: the same bottle behaves differently depending on what you pour it into.
In practice: on pre-fertilised potting soil, start at half and work up if the plant asks for it. On hydro, coco or rockwool, keep the full dose.
The figures
Bio G Power give the combined A and B an NPK of 3-3-6, fully water soluble, in weight percent. The individual parts they state as NK 2-2.
The dose is 1 to 4 ml of A and an equal amount of B per litre of feed water. They hold a pH of 5.5 to 6 and an EC of 1.2 to 2.5.
That 1 to 4 ml range is wide, and deliberately so: you steer by your EC rather than by millilitres. A young cutting sits at the bottom of the range, a full-grown plant in bloom at the top.
Two bottles, and the order
A and B are two halves of one composition. In concentrated form they do not belong together: add each of them to your water separately and never mix them undiluted.
Add A to your water, stir it through well, and only then add B. That way each part gets enough water to dissolve into before it meets the other.
Bio G Power state that this line contains no ballast substances: no fillers, so what you dose is nutrition rather than weight.

Frequently asked questions
Why give less on potting soil?
Because potting soil is usually pre-fertilised. Bio G Power specify halving the dose there.
How much do I give?
1 to 4 ml of A and the same of B per litre. Steer by your EC, which should sit between 1.2 and 2.5.
Can I pour A and B together?
Never undiluted. A into your water first, stir, then B.
What is the difference with the Coco A+B?
Bio G Power give both the same NPK of 3-3-6. The only published difference is the pH target.
Can I use this on rockwool?
Yes, the specification names hydro, coco, rockwool and potting soil.
