A manufacturer that writes down when not to buy this
On Druid's own product page there is a list you rarely see. Next to the "use Jera when" column sits a "you probably don't need Jera if" column, and it says in as many words: if you are using Berkana at the correct EC in soil or coco, if your plants are healthy and growing well, and if you are not running an organic-only setup.
They repeat it underneath as well: if you are growing in soil or coco with Berkana at the correct EC, you do not need Jera, and they will be the first to tell you so.
That is the most honest way to introduce this product and it is also the most useful. The question is not whether Jera works, but whether you are in one of the situations it was built for.
The four situations it was built for
- An organic grow without Berkana. Jera is not a feed itself, but in an organic schedule it is the addition that keeps uptake up.
- The final week before harvest. Druid prescribe replacing your NPK feed with Jera for that week, at least seven days, to protect final quality.
- Plants under stress or taking up less. High intensity, sub-optimal conditions, a crop lagging without an identifiable deficiency.
- When you want to push terpenes and alkaloids. Druid name their production explicitly as an effect.
Flushing with something rather than with nothing
That second use is the most interesting, because it runs against what most people do.
For most growers, flushing means tap water for a week and nothing else. The thinking is that you empty the medium so no feed salts remain in the end product.
Druid propose something different. You replace your NPK feed, so the salts you were worried about, but you keep giving something that helps the plant finish what it is doing in that last week. Jera contains no NPK minerals, so in that week you are adding nothing to the salt load you are busy reducing.
It is the same reasoning you see in the Berkana schedule, where the flush stage is not zero either but 5 grams per 100 litres.
What is in it, and what pointedly is not
Four components: humic acid, fulvic acid, seaweed extract and low-sodium sea salt.
And just as pointedly: no NPK minerals and no synthetic compounds. Druid call it 100% organic, biodegradable and non-toxic under EU directives, and exempt from REACH registration.
That means Jera barely moves your EC and that it replaces no bottle in your schedule. It does not change what you feed but how well the plant uses what is already there.
Druid additionally claim stronger resistance to pests and fungi. That is their claim and we pass it on as such.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need this?
According to Druid, usually not. If you grow in soil or coco with Berkana at the correct EC and your plants are healthy, they say themselves you can leave it on the shelf.
Does it replace my feed?
No, except during the flush week. There are no NPK minerals in it, so it adds nothing to the building blocks your plant receives.
How do I use it when flushing?
Replace your NPK feed with Jera for at least a week before harvest. You keep feeding something without rebuilding your salt load.
Can I spray it on the leaf?
Yes, 5 grams in 10 litres. Through the water it is 50 grams per 1,000 litres.
Does it raise my EC?
Barely. There are no NPK minerals in it and it is pH stable between 5.0 and 7.0.
