Hy-pro - Starter pack Hydro A&B

A starter pack for hydro growing with four components: the two-part base nutrient Hydro A and B, a root stimulator, a foliar spray and a flowering booster.

Two bottles that together are one feed

The pack holds 2 × 500 ml of base nutrient, and unlike the Terra pack from the same maker those are two different products rather than the same bottle twice.

Hydro A and Hydro B together form the feed. You always give equal amounts, 5 ml A and 5 ml B per litre, and you add them separately to the water: A first, stir, then B. They must not meet undiluted, because elements from the two bottles then react and material precipitates that never reaches your plant.

It also means something for using the pack up: the two bottles empty together. If one is left over you have dosed unevenly somewhere, and the other bottle is then worth topping up separately rather than buying a new pack.

What is in the pack

• 2 × 500 ml Hydro A and B, the two-part base nutrient for growth and bloom.
• 250 ml Rootstimulator Hydro, for the root system throughout the cycle.
• 100 ml Epic Boost, the flowering booster in its hydro version.
• 100 ml Spraymix, for application over the leaf.

That is four components. The Terra starter pack from the same maker holds five: it adds a bottle of Generator which this hydro version does not contain.

Why everything here is the hydro version

The Rootstimulator and the booster in this pack are not general products with a label on them. Hy-pro make a separate version of each per medium: Epic Boost for hydro, Epic Bloom for soil and Epic Blast for coco, and the same three for the Rootstimulator.

That is why you cannot mix packs. If you grow in soil, nothing in this pack is calculated for your medium, even though it carries the same brand.

Dosing

The base nutrient runs at 5 ml A plus 5 ml B per litre, at every watering, from the start of growth to the end of flowering. The Rootstimulator runs at 2.5 ml per litre during growth and 5 ml per litre during flowering. Spraymix is mixed at 5 ml per litre and misted over the leaf every other day.

For hydro hold an EC between 1.4 and 2.2 and a pH between 5.5 and 6.0, and measure your pH last.

Can I premix A and B together?
No, only separately into the water. A first, stir, then B. Undiluted, material precipitates.

Why does the Terra pack have five components and this one four?
The Terra starter pack includes a bottle of Generator. That is not in the hydro version.

Can I use this pack in soil?
The additives are calculated in their hydro versions. There is a separate soil starter pack with Epic Bloom and Rootstimulator Terra.

How much Rootstimulator do I give?
2.5 ml per litre during growth and 5 ml per litre during flowering. That is not a range but two values, each with its own phase.

What EC and pH do I hold?
