Hy-pro - Starter pack Terra

A starter pack for growing in soil with five components: two bottles of Terra base nutrient, a root stimulator, a foliar spray, a flowering booster and a bottle of Generator.

One component more than the hydro version

Hy-pro's two starter packs look alike and are not the same size. This pack holds five components, the hydro pack four.

The difference is a 50 ml bottle of Generator, which comes only in this Terra version. Hy-pro list it in the contents of this pack and not in those of the hydro pack, and we do not attach an effect to it that they do not publish.

For comparing the two packs that is the first thing to know, because the rest of the layout matches: base nutrient, root stimulator, foliar spray and a flowering booster.

The same bottle twice, not an A and a B

The pack holds 2 × 500 ml of Terra, and that is the same product twice. Hy-pro Terra is a one-component feed: a single bottle covering both the growth and the flowering phase, at 5 ml per litre at every watering.

That saves work when mixing. The hydro version of this pack holds two different bottles, A and B, which you have to measure separately and which must not meet undiluted. Here you measure one thing.

It also makes the two bottles interchangeable: you simply finish one before opening the other.

What is in the pack

• 100 ml Epic Bloom, the flowering booster in its soil version.
• 100 ml Spraymix, for application over the leaf.

Everything in the soil version

Both the Rootstimulator and the booster exist at Hy-pro in three versions, one per medium: terra, hydro and coco. So this pack holds Rootstimulator Terra and Epic Bloom, not the variants belonging to another substrate.

If you grow on rockwool or in a hydro system, the hydro pack is the right one, even though both boxes carry the same brand.

Dosing

Terra runs at 5 ml per litre at every watering, right through the cycle. The Rootstimulator runs at 2.5 ml per litre during growth and 5 ml per litre during flowering. Spraymix is mixed at 5 ml per litre and misted over the leaf every other day.

If you grow on pre-fertilised potting compost, keep your EC at the low end: that soil contributes for the first few weeks itself.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there two identical bottles in it?
Because Terra is a one-component feed: the same bottle covers growth and bloom. You finish one before opening the other.
