Narcos PH- Bloom 59% 500ml

A highly concentrated 500 ml pH reducer based on phosphoric acid, made for the flowering phase. You use it to bring the acidity of your nutrient solution down into the range where your plant actually takes that nutrition up.

A pH reducer that brings phosphorus with it

The active substance is phosphoric acid at 59 percent. That is not an arbitrary pick from the acids capable of lowering a pH. In the generative stage your crop asks for phosphorus, and phosphoric acid adds that element at the moment you were correcting anyway.

Keep the proportions in view, though: at this concentration a few millilitres correct a whole tank, so the amount of phosphorus you introduce this way is small. Treat it as a welcome side effect rather than a substitute for your bloom feed. What you are buying here is first and foremost an acid.

Why you never dose to a number

Correct pH is the precondition for uptake: too high or too low and the nutrition sits in the water without entering the plant. Narcos give an advised range of 5.5 to 6.3, depending on the substrate you grow on.

That is a range rather than a setting, and there is no quantity you can memorise. Your tap water differs by region, your nutrient already pushes pH down a good way, and the volume in your tank decides the rest. So always correct as the last step, once the nutrient is in, in small amounts, stirring thoroughly and re-measuring between every addition. Overshoot and you need pH+ to climb back, which leaves two corrections sitting in the same tank.

Handling a strong acid

Fifty-nine percent phosphoric acid is corrosive, which calls for the usual care: gloves, eye protection, and no breathing in of vapour or spray. Add the acid to the water, never water to the acid. Keep it strictly in its original packaging, cool and dark, and not below 5 degrees.

On skin contact, rinse immediately with water and remove contaminated clothing at once. In the eyes, rinse cautiously for several minutes, remove contact lenses if you can, and keep rinsing. If swallowed, rinse the mouth and do not induce vomiting. Dispose of residues and packaging in line with national regulations.

Why a separate pH reducer for flowering?
Because the acid itself contains phosphorus, and that is the element your crop calls for in the generative stage. A pH reducer built on a different acid does not bring it along.
