It costs you a week, and that is the point

This is where this product is most often misunderstood, including in our own old text. A flowering stimulator is usually sold as something that makes things faster. This one is not.

No Mercy are clear about it: for the proper effect you have to allow for an extra week of ripening. And that extra week is not an annoying side effect, it is where the result comes from. In their words, that week delivers a more extreme result than ordinary ripening would.

So expect your crop to take longer rather than shorter. If your planning has no week of slack in it, this is not the moment to use this product.

Once, and not every week

The treatment is a single application. You do not spray weekly, you spray once, in the second stage of fruit development.

That stage is therefore not the first weeks of flower and not the switch. It is later, once fruit set is already under way. According to No Mercy the product only has its intended effect on healthy plants and only in that designated period.

The first result is visible within eight to twelve days.

How No Mercy say it works

The active substance is gibberellic acid, an acid which according to No Mercy drives the female hormones into extra activity, so that with correct use a richer fruit development takes place.

No Mercy close their own product information with a caveat we repeat here because it is honest: the user can derive no rights from this product, given the highly complex hormonal action of this flowering stimulator. That is an unusually open thing to put on your own label, and it says something about how predictable the response is.

Spray it, or halve it and feed it

Spray preferably shortly before the lamps go off. If that is not possible, raise the lamps a good way for a few hours. The reason is the same as for any foliar spray: droplets on the leaf act as lenses under a bright lamp.

You can also give it straight in the water. In that case halve the stated dose. If you work with a system that reuses drain water, refresh the nutrient stock after feeding, because through the water it is equally intended as a one-off.

What a bottle covers

No Mercy give the coverage per pack: 100 ml is enough to treat 50 plants, and 250 ml is enough for 125 to 150 plants.

Because the treatment is a single application, that is also the number of plants a whole crop takes. For most home growers the smaller pack is therefore generous.

An addition No Mercy mention

Some plants, they say, respond considerably better if you drop back to 11 hours of light in the last two weeks of fruit development. That is a change to your light schedule rather than a property of the product, but it sits in the same breath in their own notes.
