A.R.T.S. - Fungus Free 250ml

A 250 millilitre leaf conditioner against fungal pressure: botrytis, mildew and rust. Unlike the other products in this range, this is not one to reach for when things go wrong. It works in advance or it barely works.

Building resilience takes time

This product does not kill fungus. It raises the crop's resistance with a mix of herbal extracts, seaweeds, fulvic acids, silicon, microbes and benign fungi. The silicon is the most concrete part of that: it stiffens the cell walls of the leaf, and a stiffer cell wall is physically harder for a fungal thread to penetrate.

That build-up does not happen in one pass. You start roughly two weeks after planting and repeat every 3 to 4 weeks, to a maximum of five applications per cycle. On that approach the manufacturer cites protection of up to around 90 percent against fungal outbreaks. Deploy it only once mildew is already on the leaf and you are asking it to do something it was not made for.

When to use it

Fungus is mostly a consequence of conditions: humidity too high, too little movement, canopy too dense, a temperature drop at the end of the dark period. This product supplements getting those conditions right, it does not replace it. If your humidity is out of control, you are spraying into the wind.

Mist the crop generously, to just short of the point where liquid runs off the leaf. That is the stated method: liberal, but not dripping.

Safe alongside pollinators

The product is harmless to beneficial insects such as bees and bumblebees and to warm-blooded animals. It also causes no growth stall, so you need not expect a setback after treatment. It has been used for years in professional horticulture on cut flowers, pot plants, vegetables and fruit.

Frequently asked questions

I have mildew now, will this help? Only to a limited extent. This is a product for building resistance before there is pressure. Against an outbreak already in place you are asking too much of it.

Why a maximum of five applications? That is the stated maximum per cycle. More does not add anything.

Does this replace managing my humidity? No. Fungus follows from conditions; this supplements that work rather than replacing it.

How wet should I spray? Mist generously, to just short of the point where liquid runs off the leaf.
