Four bases that water a fabric pot from underneath. Each consists of a catch saucer with a raised reservoir plate in it, wick lines that carry water upwards, a level gauge and a strainer spout. Suits round fabric pots up to five gallons and each base carries up to 45 kilos.
Water from below rather than above
A fabric pot dries back on every side, so you water it more often than plastic. That is exactly what makes it the best candidate for watering from below: the weave takes water up the moment it touches any.
This base uses that. High-absorption wick lines sit in the reservoir and carry water into the base of the pot. The substrate draws what it has lost and leaves the rest, so the plant sets the pace. You top the reservoir up and the rest happens on its own.
The wick lines are adjustable in length, which you need because a four litre pot and a twenty litre pot sit at different distances from the water.
What else the reservoir does
Whatever you give from above and runs out of the bottom lands in the same saucer and goes back up the wicks into the pot. Feed that would otherwise end up on your floor gets offered a second time.
That is also the caveat. Water that has run through is more concentrated than what you poured in, because the plant took water out and left salts behind. So do not let the reservoir circulate for weeks without changing it, and flush through with clean water now and then.
The plate that lifts the pot
The reservoir plate holds the pot off the floor of the saucer. That is not a detail: a fabric pot standing in its own run-off simply draws it back up and stays permanently wet at the bottom, which is the very problem you bought a fabric pot to avoid. Lifted, air stays under the base and algae do not grow against the fabric.
Reading it and refilling it
One end carries a gauge showing how much is left, the other a pouring spout with a strainer. So you do not have to lift the pot to see whether there is water, and you can top up without moving the plant.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work under a square pot? The base is designed for round fabric pots. A square pot will stand on it, but makes less even contact with the wicks.
How often will I refill? That depends on the plant and the conditions. The gauge is there precisely so you do not have to guess.
Can I put feed in it? Yes, and then the same rule applies as to any reservoir: change it regularly rather than topping up indefinitely.
Do I need the larger version? For pots above five gallons AC Infinity makes an XL version that goes up to ten.
