A square drip tray from Garland, 60 by 60 centimetres with a 7 centimetre wall, in rigid plastic. Holds over twenty-five litres to the rim.
A seven centimetre wall makes it a different thing
What separates this from an ordinary drip tray is not the area but the height of the wall, and that changes what it is for.
A flat tray three or four centimetres deep catches the run-off from a watering. This one holds twenty-five litres, which is a different order of magnitude: more than the volume of the largest pot we stock, and enough to catch a toppled jerrycan or a leaking reservoir without anything reaching your floor.
That suits it to places where you expect not just drainage but an accident. Under a reservoir, under a pump, under a system with hoses and fittings: anywhere ten litres on the floor is a real problem.
The cost of a high wall is that you do not simply lift over it. Putting a pot in means raising it seven centimetres, which gets tiresome with a full eighteen litre pot. For daily in and out, the flat Garland at 56 by 40 centimetres is more practical.
Sixty by sixty in the space
A 60 by 60 centimetre footprint is a good third of a square metre. It takes four square 18 litre pots, nine 11 litre pots, or one large pot with room around it. Four of these trays together fill a 120 by 120 centimetre tent floor.
The same rule applies here: do not leave pots standing permanently in collected water. At twenty-five litres of capacity the temptation to leave it is strong, and that is exactly when the substrate draws it back up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put it under a reservoir? That is what the high wall is for. Twenty-five litres of containment covers most small leaks.
Will it cover a 120 by 120 tent floor? Four of these side by side cover that floor exactly.
How many pots fit on it? Four 18 litre, nine 11 litre, or twenty-five propagation pots.
What is the difference from the standard Garland tray? That is 56 by 40 centimetres and 4 centimetres deep. This one is larger and nearly three times as deep.
