Eazy Plug - Sowing Plugs CT104C (104 pieces)

A tray of 104 round sowing plugs, in thirteen rows of eight. The CT104C differs from Eazy Plug's other trays in its hole: it is wider and deeper, and meant for seed rather than cuttings.

A roomier hole for larger seed

A cutting hole is narrow, because it has to hold a stem upright. For small seeds that is no problem, but a larger seed with a thick shell fits badly. It gets stuck halfway or lies half on top, and dries out on that side.

In the CT104C's sowing hole the seed drops to the bottom. There it lies against moist material all round, and the first root can head straight down. These plugs are meant precisely for seeds with a larger, harder shell.

Cover the seed with a thin layer, Eazy Mixx for example, and spray it wet. Then let the tray drain and keep it warm and humid.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put cuttings in it too?
You can, but the roomy hole gives a cutting less support. For cuttings the CT24, CT77 and CT150 with a cutting hole are better.

How deep do I put the seed?
Just at the bottom of the hole, with a thin layer over it. No deeper is needed.
