Aquaking Q2007 submersible pump (3600L/H)

The AquaKing Q2007 takes its hose from the top, where the larger models in this range connect at the side. That sounds like a detail and in practice decides where the pump will and will not fit.

Top or side outlet: where the hose leaves

With a top outlet the hose runs straight up. The pump can therefore sit tight against a wall, or drop into a narrow shaft, sump or duct without the hose kinking against the side. A side outlet sends the hose out sideways, and you have to leave room for it: in a sump thirty centimetres across that costs you half the space.

The reverse holds too. A side outlet keeps the hose lower, so in a shallow container you avoid a high loop that holds the water back.

Hose size: 20 or 25 millimetres

The Q2007 takes a 20 or 25 mm hose and also carries a 1 inch male thread for a fixed coupling. When in doubt use the widest hose that fits: a narrower one costs output through friction, and that shows most on a pump in this class.

At 3600 litres per hour and 5 metres head this is the entry model: emptying a water butt, clearing a flooded floor, transferring a small pond. Solids passage is 5 mm, so lightly dirty water is no obstacle.

Frequently asked questions

Will it fit a narrow sump? That is exactly what the top outlet is for. Measure the sump and allow for the bend radius of your hose above the pump.

Can I fit a garden hose? Through the 1 inch male thread with a suitable coupling, yes. A thin garden hose will restrict output considerably.

Is 3600 litres per hour enough? Ample for a water butt or a small pond. For a pool or a large cellar, choose from the 5000 to 11,000 litre class.

Can it handle dirty water? Solids up to 5 mm. Not sand or grit.
