Aquaking Q800103 high pressure submersible pump 5500L/H

The AquaKing Q800103 moves 5500 litres per hour, less than half the fastest pump in this range, and costs several times as much. That is not a contradiction: what you are buying here is not litres but pressure. At 30 metres of water column, around 3 bar, it lifts water almost four times higher than anything else here.

Three impellers instead of one

An ordinary submersible has a single impeller. The Q800103 has three in series, so each one takes the pressure from the last and raises it further. It is the same arrangement used in borehole pumps. It buys height and steady pressure, and it costs flow: that trade is precisely why you would choose this pump.

Where the pressure earns its keep

Irrigation and drip systems. Sprinklers and emitters only work properly above a certain pressure, and an ordinary submersible will not reach it once any pipe length is involved. Also for water from a well or borehole, for long runs out to a greenhouse or a field, and anywhere the water does not merely have to leave but has to arrive somewhere with force. A pump that only shifts water is the wrong tool here, however many litres it does.

Clean water, which surprises people

Despite its price and power, this pump handles solids up to only 0.5 mm, against 5 mm on the simpler models. A multistage pump with narrow passages simply cannot pass debris. If you need to clear muddy water, choose one of the cheaper models. This one is built for clear water that has to get somewhere under pressure.

No float switch, so not unattended

The Q800103 has no float switch and runs for as long as it has power. That makes it unsuitable for keeping a cellar dry automatically, which needs a float-equipped pump. It also leaves around 5 cm of residual water, so for genuinely emptying a tank you want a flat suction pump.

Why does it cost more than a pump that moves twice as much? Because you are buying height and pressure, not flow. Three impellers and 30 metres of head against 8.5 metres on the largest ordinary pump.

Can it drive an irrigation system? That is what it is built for. Check the pressure requirement of your emitters and allow for pipe length.

Can it handle dirty water? No, solids up to 0.5 mm at most. For dirty water choose a model rated at 5 mm.

How do I lower it? On a rope, never by the power cable, to a maximum of 7 metres. Keep at least ten centimetres of water above the pump.

Can it keep a cellar dry automatically? No. Without a float switch it will not shut off by itself.
