AutoPot - FlexiTank 100L foldable water barrel

At 75 cm tall, the AutoPot FlexiTank 100 Litre is the first tank in the range standing high enough to feed an AutoPot setup without a pump. AutoPot systems let gravity do the work, which makes tank height not a detail but the deciding measurement.

Why tank height matters

An AQUAvalve admits water as the level in the tray drops. That water has to arrive on its own, so the level in the tank needs to stay above the base of your pots. Seventy-five centimetres leaves you head even when the tank is half empty. A shorter tank works at first and then stalls as the level falls, which is hard to spot because nothing has actually broken.

Where to put it

Stand it on a flat, solid surface free of sharp edges. If you want more head, raise it, but then the weight counts: a hundred litres of water weighs a hundred kilos, resting on a circle 43 cm across. That works out at roughly 690 kg per square metre. Use a proper board or a purpose-made stand, not an upturned crate.

It arrives in a 73.5 cm box weighing 1.9 kg. No tools are needed: unfold, fit the tap and overflow, fill. The seams are sealed, the tank is watertight, and it is rated for indoor and outdoor use.

Frequently asked questions

Does the tank need to stand higher than the pots? The water level needs to stay above the base of the trays. At this size that usually works on the floor, especially if you do not run the tank right down.

Do I need a pump? Not for an AutoPot setup. You do for watering over distance or uphill.

Can I raise it? Yes, provided the support carries a hundred kilos and holds the whole base. A tank overhanging its support loads the seams.

How do I clean it? Drain through the tap, rinse with clean water and let it dry before folding. No abrasives or harsh cleaners on the fabric.
