The AutoPot FlexiTank 225 Litre is the size at which you stop counting litres and start counting days. The question is not how much goes in, but how long your setup runs before it needs attention again.

Size the tank by run time, not capacity

A mature plant in flower will readily use one to two litres a day in a warm room, and considerably less in a cool one. Work from the highest consumption you expect rather than the average, because a tank running dry while you are away is the one scenario that actually causes damage. At ten plants and one and a half litres a day, this tank is over two weeks ahead. At twenty plants in full flower it is still a week.

The footprint grows faster than you expect

Filled, this tank is 63.5 cm across. That is half a metre more floor than the 100 litre while the height barely moves: 81 cm against 75. At this size floor space is the constraint, not headroom. Measure your spot before ordering, and leave room to reach the tap.

Room to mix properly

A larger tank makes dosing more forgiving. A few millilitres of measuring error disappears in 225 litres, where the same error is noticeable in a 25 litre tank. Stir the tank through before connecting your pump or system.

How long does mixed nutrient solution keep? Expect several days up to about a week, shorter the warmer it is. At this size that is often the real limit rather than the capacity.

Will it fit a 120 by 120 cm tent? Physically yes, but it costs you more than a quarter of your floor area. Most growers put this size outside the tent.

Why is no boxed weight listed? Supplier and manufacturer figures disagree and cannot be reconciled to a reliable value. We would rather state nothing than a number you cannot rely on.

Can I shift it when half full? No. Position it empty in its final spot and fill it there.
