AutoPot - Standard for 47L water barrel

This stand raises the AutoPot 47 litre tank to the height the system needs. It measures 40 by 33 centimetres and stands 31 centimetres tall, and it exists for one reason that matters more than the height itself: it carries the whole base of the tank.

Why an upturned crate will not do

A full 47 litre tank weighs 47 kilos, and that weight sits on a base thirty centimetres across. Put it on a crate, a couple of paving slabs or two lengths of timber and the tank rests on the edges with the middle unsupported. Plastic then flexes, right around where the outlet and its sealing grommet sit. A slow leak at the outlet has almost always started here.

An improvised support can also rock. A tank settling out of level changes your water height relative to the valves, and that is the very measurement an AutoPot setup depends on.

Frequently asked questions

Can I not just use something else? You can, but make sure the whole base is carried and the support takes 47 kilos without rocking.

Is 31 centimetres enough height? That depends on how high your AQUAvalves sit. The tank must clear the highest valve by at least 150 millimetres.

Will another tank fit it? The stand is intended for the 47 litre tank. Another may fit, but check the base rests fully.

Can I still reach the tap? Yes, the stand is tall enough to keep the outlet accessible.
