A joint with no clamps, tape or tools

The connection is what distinguishes this filter, more than the carbon inside it. On an ordinary filter you slide ducting over a flange, secure it with a worm clamp and tape the seam. That works, but it is where air leaks and where you do not see it leaking.

The DF16 system does it differently. The flange holder is fixed in the tent wall, and the extractor and filter click straight onto it. No clamp and no tape are involved, and taking it off is as quick as putting it on.

That gives you three practical things. No tools, so assembly and stripping take seconds. An identical connection every time, so there is no seam that seals better on one occasion than another. And you can take the filter off without mess to inspect or replace it.

The trade-off is commitment: this filter fits DF16 and not any flange. If you are building from mixed parts of different brands, a filter with an ordinary flange connection is handier.
