Where this system stops

With this filter you are at the ceiling of the DF16 system, and it helps to know what that means before building on it.

The whole system is arranged around one size: a 16 cm flange holder that the extractor and filter click onto. That makes it quick and self-contained, but it also fixes a ceiling. The heaviest extractor in the range does 350 m³/h, this filter matches it, and there is nothing above.

In practice that serves a tent up to roughly 14 m³ at twenty five air changes an hour, so up to about 240 by 240 cm. That covers the large majority of home set-ups.

Above it you step out of this system rather than up to a bigger DF16 part. You move to a conventional arrangement with a 160 or 200 mm inline fan, a filter with a fixed flange and worm clamps. That is less elegant to fit and involves more separate parts, but it scales well beyond what DF16 does.

Plan that ahead if you expect to grow, since switching means replacing extractor, filter and flange together.
