A compact EC extractor for the DF16 system, with three settings of 50, 100 and 150 m³/h. It clicks onto a DF16 flange holder without tools and reaches at most 36 dB at 15 watts.
Two sensors, and why the external one matters most
This extractor regulates itself on temperature, using two probes: one inside the unit and one on a 240 cm lead.
That distinction matters. The sensor in the housing measures the air passing the fan on its way out. That is the warmest air in the system, and it sits beside a motor generating heat of its own. Regulate on that and you are mostly measuring your own exhaust.
The external sensor you can place where the temperature actually matters: at plant height, in the middle of the tent, under the lamp. That is the figure to control on, because it is what your crop feels.
The extractor then adjusts its speed to hold that measured temperature at the value you set. As it warms it steps up; as it cools it drops back, keeping warmth in rather than blowing it away.
Do not put the external sensor in a direct beam from the lamp or close to the intake, or you measure an outlier instead of the room.
