A compact clip fan with a brushless 24 volt motor that clicks onto a tent pole of 16 to 19 mm. It moves 100 m³/h, draws 1.5 watts and measures 12 by 12.5 by 14.2 cm.

Circulation is not the same as ventilation

This is the distinction that decides whether you need this fan alongside your extraction or instead of it. The answer is alongside.

Your extraction carries air away and with it heat, moisture and odour. What it does not do is keep the air moving inside the space. Without circulation a still layer forms around every leaf: the plant draws CO2 from it and gives moisture to it, and while that layer stands it becomes exhausted. There is then fresh air in the tent, but not where the work happens.

A clip fan solves exactly that. It moves no air outside and replaces none of your extraction, but it keeps the air around the crop moving so every leaf keeps meeting new air.

So do not aim it straight at the plants. A constant hard jet on one spot dries leaves and causes stress. Tilt it 15 degrees up or down and let the air pass just over or under the canopy, so the whole crop moves rather than one plant taking it.

Frequently asked questions

Does this replace my extraction?
No. A clip fan moves air within the space; carrying it away is your extractor's job.

Why 24 volts?
Low voltage is kinder in a damp room, and a brushless DC motor lasts longer and runs quieter.

Will it fit my tent?
If the poles are 16 to 19 mm, yes. Measure the tube rather than the corner.
