Grow tent of 150 × 150 × 217 cm with Ø 25 mm stainless steel poles, M400D mylar canvas and a load capacity of 75 kg per tent. Access from all four sides.

Where the price difference against a Dark Street sits

The Dark Room costs considerably more than a Dark Street, and that gap is not about size alone. Every component is built a class heavier. Side by side:

  • Canvas: M400D mylar against M210D. Nearly twice the fabric weight, which is what resists tearing where you brush past it.
  • Poles: Ø 25 mm in #201 stainless steel, against Ø 16 or 19 mm in chrome-plated Q195. Chrome plating lasts until the layer is damaged; stainless steel does not rust at a scratch either.
  • Corners: 7.0 mm polypropylene against 2.0 or 4.0 mm. Nearly double the heaviest Dark Street.
  • Load capacity: 25 kg per pole and 75 kg across the tent, against 15 and 30 kg on a Dark Street 120. That is the headroom for a large filter, a heavy lamp and a hanging system at once.
  • Floor: a removable fibered liner at 380 g/m², where the Dark Street has a mylar water tray. This is a proper tray that tolerates being stood on and dragged.
  • Access: 360 degrees, so front, back and sides, against 270.

Where you notice it: in daily use over several years, and the moment real weight hangs from the frame. For one cycle a year under a 400 watt LED a Dark Street is plenty. If the tent runs continuously, gets moved, or carries a 15 kg filter, this is the frame built for that.

Mind the flange size

The Dark Room uses DF25 ducting flanges, not the DF16 of the Dark Street and the Hydro Shoot. Two are included, with Ø 200 mm rings. Flanges, rings and repair kits from the two series are not interchangeable: DF16 parts do not fit a DF25 opening or the other way round. If you already own Dark Street accessories, do not count on them.

Two things a Dark Street includes that this does not: the light baffle is an option on the Dark Room and is not in the box. In exchange there are two CF7 cable flanges instead of one, and twenty CableIT ties instead of fifteen.

Frequently asked questions

Are the corners stainless steel?
No, the poles are. The corners are 7.0 mm polypropylene, nearly twice the thickness of a Dark Street 120's.

Will my DF16 flanges from a Dark Street fit?
No. The Dark Room uses DF25 with a larger opening. The two series are not interchangeable.

How much can I hang in total?
75 kg across the tent and 25 kg per pole. Split the filter and the lamp across different poles and that stays well within the margin.
