One opening, three sizes, no second cut

This is the part that gives the DF16 system its value, and it is not obvious from looking at the connector itself.

All three connectors, Ø 100, Ø 125 and Ø 150 mm, share the same outer size. So all three fit the same flange holder, in the same hole. Only the inner diameter differs.

What that means for your setup: the hole in your canvas is a one-off decision, the duct size is not. Move from a 100 mm fan to a 125 mm one because your tent got bigger or your filter heavier, and you unclip the old connector and clip in the new. The canvas is untouched.

That is the reverse of a tent with fixed socks, where the sock size is settled for as long as that tent exists. Here the lasting choice is where the hole goes, and the size is a few euros' worth of swappable part.

The 125 is the most used step in practice. The Dark Street 90 and 120W ship with it as standard, and it is the usual move for anyone scaling up from 100 mm.
