Flange holder for Ø 25 mm tent poles, the heavy series of Secret Jardin's ducting system. Takes connectors up to Ø 250 mm and is standard equipment on every Dark Room.

A large flange needs a large flat panel

The DF25 is not simply a DF16 for thicker poles. It is considerably bigger, and that decides where it fits.

For comparison: a DF16 has a mounting face in the region of 26 cm square. On the DF25 it is around 38.5 cm. That is half again as wide and more than twice the area, and that area has to be flat, intact and unobstructed.

What that means in practice before you cut:

• Stay away from seams. A seam running through your mounting face makes the seal unreliable exactly where it takes the most strain.
• Watch for zips and windows. On a panel with a door or a viewing window there is sometimes simply no 38.5 cm of clear fabric left.
• Measure before you buy, not before you cut. Hold a 38.5 cm square of cardboard against the panel you had in mind. If it does not fit, that is a useful result, because you still have the choice.

The only compatibility rule is the pole diameter

Not the tent size, not the series: the diameter of your pole. If it is Ø 25 mm, this is the system. Every Dark Room size stands on Ø 25 mm poles, from the smallest to the largest, and all of them ship with two DF25 flanges.

If your poles are Ø 16 mm, the DF16 is the matching part. The two series are not interchangeable: different pole size, different opening, different connectors.

Yes. Every Dark Room size has Ø 25 mm poles, the 150 included, and all ship from the factory with two DF25 flanges.

Can I put a DF25 on a Dark Street?
No. That stands on thinner poles and uses the DF16 series.

Where is the best place to fit it?
On a flat section of panel alongside a pole, away from seams, zips and windows. Allow for a square of roughly 38.5 cm.
