Secret Jardin - Hydro Shoot 120

Grow tent of 120 × 120 × 200 cm with a Ø 19 mm steel frame, Ø 230 mm ventilation socks and doors that open three sides. From this size up, the Hydro Shoot is built heavier than the smaller models.

At the 120 the build changes, not just the size

It is natural to read a range of grow tents as one tent in several sizes. For the Hydro Shoot that holds up to the 100. After that it does not: Secret Jardin publishes the 120 and larger in a separate data sheet, with a different construction.

What changes:

• The poles are Ø 19 mm instead of Ø 16 mm.
• The corners are 4.0 mm polypropylene instead of 2.0 mm, so twice as thick.
• Load capacity goes from 10 to 15 kg per pole, and from 20 to 30 kg per tent.
• The door opens through 270 degrees, giving access to three sides instead of one.

The first three belong together. A bigger tent has longer roof bars, and a longer tube deflects further under the same weight. Enlarging the tent alone would have reduced the load rating rather than raised it. Increasing the diameter and the corner thickness at the same time is what takes it up by half instead.

That is exactly what this size needs. Over 1.44 m² you hang a serious lamp and often a carbon filter with a fan, and together those pass the 20 kg the smaller tents carry without any difficulty.

The door that opens on three sides

In a tent of 120 × 120 cm you can no longer reach the back corners from the front. So the zip on this size runs through 270 degrees: you fold the canvas aside and stand at your plants along three sides. For pruning, inspecting and harvesting that matters considerably more than it sounds, and it is why people moving up from a smaller tent notice the difference straight away.

Frequently asked questions

Why does this tent carry more than the 100, when it is larger?
Because the frame is built heavier: Ø 19 mm poles and 4.0 mm corners instead of Ø 16 mm and 2.0 mm. It is a different construction, not a stretched version of the smaller tent.

Do accessories from the smaller Hydro Shoot tents fit?
Not automatically. Anything that clamps around the poles is made to a diameter, so parts for 16 mm will not fit 19 mm.

How much can I hang from one roof bar?
15 kg, and 30 kg across the whole tent. Spread a filter and a lamp over two poles where you can.
