Secret Jardin - Hydro Shoot 40

Grow tent of 40 × 40 × 118 cm with a Ø 16 mm steel frame, M210D mylar lining and a removable water tray. The smallest Hydro Shoot, and a size you can assemble either upright or on its side.

Upright or laid flat: two growing spaces from one canvas

The small Hydro Shoot tents are built to be assembled in two orientations. On the larger sizes that is a nice extra. At this size it changes what the tent is for.

Standing upright you get a 40 × 40 cm floor and 118 cm of height. That is a column: room for one plant, a lamp above it, and not much else.

Laid on its side, the same canvas becomes a tray of 40 × 118 cm with roughly 40 cm of working height. The floor area almost triples and the height disappears. For cuttings, seedlings or a mother plant you keep short, that is exactly the right proportion: you set trays beside each other instead of above each other, and you look down into it.

The frame is identical either way. You assemble the poles in the orientation you want and lay the water tray on whatever is the floor in that position.

Air in and out

The tent has one ventilation sock of Ø 150 mm and one cable sock of Ø 75 mm. At 0.2 m³ of volume that is generously sized: Secret Jardin advises 30 to 50 m³/h of extraction depending on how quickly you want the air replaced. The smallest inline fan on the market covers that, usually well throttled back.

If you need more openings you cut them yourself with a DF16 ducting flange, which is made for the 16 mm frame this tent uses.

Secret Jardin's lighting table gives no advised wattage for this size. That is not an omission: the table covers intensive flowering under full light and starts at the 60. This tent is meant for propagation rather than a full flowering cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Is this tent 120 cm tall?
Secret Jardin names the model 40x40x120 but gives 118 cm as the assembled height in its own data sheet. We publish 118 cm, because that is the figure you work from when you hang something.

Can I flower a plant in here?
You can, but it will be cramped. Once the pot, the lamp and the hanging space have taken their share there is little plant height left. For cuttings, seedlings and a compact mother plant the size is right.

Is the water tray included?
Yes, the WT40 mylar tray comes with the tent and lifts out for cleaning.
