Three shelves turn 0.24 m² of floor into 0.75 m² of growing area

The cabinet stands on a 60 × 40 cm footprint. That is 0.24 m², which sounds like very little. Yet Secret Jardin quotes 0.75 m² of growing area, and that is correct: there are three removable shelves inside and you grow on all three at once.

Stacking multiplies your area and divides your headroom. That is the whole trade-off with this cabinet. With three levels inside 116 cm you keep roughly a third per floor, less the thickness of the shelf and less the space your light occupies. Enough for cuttings, seedlings, herbs and microgreens. Not enough for a plant that wants to climb.

That is why the shelves come out. Remove two and you keep one level with nearly the full 116 cm above it, and the same cabinet suddenly suits a few plants that can run. Remove one and you have two floors of around half a metre each, which works well if you keep mother plants below and cuttings above.

So you are not buying a fixed layout but a choice you remake each cycle. Work out which of the three arrangements fits your plan beforehand, because it also decides where you hang the LED bars.

Why everything runs at 24 volts

The lighting, the extraction and the circulation fan all run at 24 volts through a supplied adapter. There is no mains voltage inside the cabinet, and that is why this can stand in a living room, a study or a bedroom without much deliberation.

It has a practical consequence too: 24 volt fans run quietly. For a grow station living in an occupied room that is not a luxury but the condition for leaving it there.

What is included

Three 20 W Cosmorrow LED bars, 60 W together, with a grow spectrum tuned to the propagation stage. An extraction fan with a built-in thermostat, which adjusts to temperature rather than running flat out at one speed. A circulation fan. A controller for the light schedule and dimming. Frequently asked questions

Is a carbon filter included?
No. The filter is a separate option you can select on this product, as is the heating mat.

Can I grow a plant to full height in it?
Not with the shelves in. Remove two and you keep nearly the full 116 cm, which makes it possible.

How does it differ from the For Twenty 100?
Same cabinet. The For Twenty 100 has 100 W of full spectrum and no shelves, and is meant for a whole cycle through to harvest. This one has 60 W of grow spectrum and three shelves, for propagation.
