The WaterPack ACS links four WaterFarm units to one central reservoir with active circulation. It is the step from separate units to a coherent installation, and the letters ACS stand for exactly that difference.
What active circulation adds
A standalone WaterFarm has its own reservoir, and that tank otherwise sits still: solution circulates within that one unit. With four separate units you therefore have four separate reserves, each drifting its own way in EC and pH, and each topped up and adjusted separately.
The ACS controller replaces that with one central reserve feeding all four, with circulation taking the whole solution round a complete circuit roughly every two hours. Everything standing in the four reservoirs is therefore continuously mixed and oxygenated.
The consequence is that all four units get the same solution, at the same EC and the same pH. Measure in one place and you know how things stand everywhere. Adjust, and it applies to all four at once.
Level control, and why it protects the roots
The second thing the controller does is regulate the liquid level in the connected reservoirs. On a standalone unit the level drops as the plant consumes, which means water roots formed at a given height can end up dry.
By holding that level constant, the system keeps the root zone stable. Roots that grew into the solution stay in the solution.
What it asks of you
The system is designed to run continuously; that is the intent rather than a recommendation. To switch off overnight for power or noise, you can only do so once roots are long enough to reach the solution themselves, and you still run it for half an hour during the night.
Technical Specifications:
- Units: 4 WaterFarm modules
- Reservoir: central, with active circulation
- Circulation: full circuit roughly every two hours
- Level control: holds the level in connected reservoirs constant
- Operation: designed to run continuously
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from four standalone WaterFarms? One shared reserve, continuously mixed and oxygenated, plus level control.
Must I measure per unit? No, all four share the same solution.
Can it be off at night? Only once roots reach the solution themselves, and then still run it half an hour overnight.
Why level control? To stop water roots drying out as the level falls.
