Terra Aquatica

9 products from this brand

Systems for growing on water, from a single pot to twenty sites. The feed that goes with them sits one category further along.

Terra Aquatica is mainly a systems brand on our shelf: growing systems and the net pots that go with them, plus a starter kit of feed. The French brand was called General Hydroponics Europe until a few years ago, and has since given its systems new names as well. That is why you will find CultiMate and HydroCloner here if you were looking for the WaterFarm or the RainForest.

Old and new names

WaterFarm is now CultiMate S
AquaFarm is now CultiMate L
AeroFarm is now CultiMate Aero
RainForest 72 is now HydroCloner Spinner 72
The GrowStream keeps its name and is now the V2 version

The systems

Under Growing Systems four principles sit side by side. The CultiMate S and CultiMate L are single pots with no water pump: an air pump lifts the solution to a drip ring. The CultiMate Aero lets the roots hang in air and sprays them. The GrowStream 10 V2 and 20 V2 are channels where one pump sends the solution continuously past the roots. And the HydroCloner Spinner 72 is a propagation system, for whole batches of cuttings at once.

Net pots

We stock loose net pots in 2 and 3 inch. The GrowStream uses 3 inch, and on the CultiMate Aero the size decides how steady a large plant stands. Useful for topping up or replacing without buying a whole system again.

The feed

Under Nutrients sits the TriPart starter kit for hard water. For the rest of your schedule you will be looking at the other feed brands in that category, and the rule of thumb is the usual one: pick a line intended for a recirculating system, because that is what these systems are.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to the WaterFarm?
It is now called CultiMate S. The system is the same, only the name has changed. The same goes for the AquaFarm, now the CultiMate L.

Can I use a feed other than TriPart in these systems?
Yes. Do choose a line meant for recirculating or hydro, because that is a requirement of the system rather than of the brand.

Do I need extra net pots for the GrowStream?
No, a 3 inch net pot comes with every site. Loose net pots are there for topping up or replacing.
