As the main light in a small or low space

A hundred watts is the largest kit in this range, and so the first that can carry a small space through flowering on its own. That is a different purchase from a kit that supplements, and it is worth knowing why you would choose it over a panel of the same wattage.

The answer is almost always height. A 100 watt panel is a block that takes up a good part of your headroom and has to hang at a distance to spread its light. This kit is five narrow bars you distribute yourself, each a few centimetres thick, which may sit close above the canopy because they give off little heat. In a cabinet, on a shelf, or in a tent 120 centimetres tall, that is the difference between fitting and not fitting.

The trade-off is that the distribution is yours to get right. Five bars hung carelessly give a worse field than one panel hung centrally. Take the time, spread them evenly across your area and hang them level.

Everything on one supply switches together, so if you later want to control an infrared or ultraviolet bar separately, give that one its own supply.
