COGr Vega is the growth feed for CANNA's COGr system: compressed coco boards that you buffer first and then feed during growth with this A+B nutrient. CANNA are unusually explicit about who should choose this system.
For the grower who wants full control, and that is not everyone
On their own pages CANNA call the COGr nutrients combined with the COGr substrate the ideal combination for the experienced and demanding grower who likes to have full control. Elsewhere they put it more directly still: COGr is designed for experts.
That is an unusual message to put on your own product, and it is one to take seriously. Compare it with what the same manufacturer says about soil: growing in a potting mix is easier than in other substrates, because less precision is needed to still get a good result.
So CANNA place their own lines on a scale, and COGr sits at the end where you decide the most and can get the most wrong yourself.
What that control gives you and what it costs
What you get back is in the medium. COGr is a specially formulated mixture of coco husks, coco fibre and coco granulate, which is more open than ordinary coco. More open means easier to steer: water and oxygen move through faster, so the plant responds faster to what you do. That holds for the good direction and for the other one.
The cost is steps. You buffer the boards first with COGr Buffer Agent, you measure more precisely than on soil, and you switch to COGr Flores on time. Skip the buffering and your first weeks of feed disappear into the slab.
Against that sits a practical saving: CANNA state that COGr can be reused up to three times without loss of quality.
In use
Add COGr Vega A&B at a ratio of 1:250, so 40 ml of A and 40 ml of B per 10 litres of water. You use it throughout the vegetative phase and move to COGr Flores as soon as flower formation begins.
Never mix A and B neat. CANNA give the reason alongside, and it is sharper than the usual warning: insoluble compounds form that the plant cannot take up. So add A to your water first, stir it through well, and only then B.
Store frost-free, closed and dark, because UV light breaks down the chelates in the feed.
