A vitalising root stimulator with vitamins, for the early phase, for transplanting, and for moments when the plant is under strain. For use in soil, coco, rockwool and all hydroponic systems.

This is for setbacks, not for speed

Rhizotonic often gets bought as something that makes a plant grow harder. That is not what it is for, and the difference decides whether it does you any good.

CANNA position it at three moments: the early phase, transplanting, and stress. What those three share is that the root system is under pressure or not yet finished. A fresh cutting has barely any roots. A plant just transplanted has lost some and has to make contact with the medium again. A plant that has been too hot, too dry or over-fed has roots doing less than they should.

In those situations a tonic helps. On a crop that is simply running well you have no problem to solve, and carrying on with a stimulator delivers little beyond a higher EC.

The practical reading: keep the bottle for the moments when something happens, rather than writing it into your schedule because it is there.

Also on the leaf, and here that is the faster route

On a plant with a damaged or undeveloped root system, the root is the slow way in. Rhizotonic can therefore also be sprayed on the leaf, and with fresh cuttings or a plant that has just taken a knock that is often the most effective way to get anything into it.

Spray at the end of the day, just before the lights go off, and not in bright light: droplets on leaf act as lenses and that scorches.

What is in it, and what is not

CANNA describe Rhizotonic as a vitalising agent with vitamins. There is no rooting hormone in it, and that is a persistent misunderstanding about products like this. Auxins, the hormones that actually drive a cutting to form roots, are in rooting powder and rooting gel: a different product, on a different shelf.

What a tonic does is support the recovery and development the plant is already attempting. That is more modest than a hormone, and it is exactly why you use it under stress rather than as a growth agent.

Frequently asked questions

Will my plant grow harder on this?
Not if nothing is wrong. It is meant for the early phase, transplanting and stress, so for situations where the root system is under pressure.

Does it contain rooting hormones?
No. CANNA describe vitamins. Auxins, the hormones that drive cuttings to root, are in rooting powder or gel.

Can I spray it on the leaf?
Yes, and with fresh cuttings or a damaged root system that is often the fastest route. Spray at the end of the day and not in bright light.

Can I feed it all cycle?
You can, but on a crop that is running well it adds little beyond EC. Save it for when something happens.

Does it work in hydro and rockwool?
Yes, CANNA list all substrates, including coco, rockwool and hydroponic systems.
