What exactly shifts when you switch over

The changeover from growth to bloom is easy to read in this range, because both bottles publish their ratio.

Terra Grow is 3-1-3: plenty of nitrogen, little phosphorus. Terra Bloom is 2-2-4. Three things happen at once. Nitrogen drops from 3 to 2, phosphorus doubles from 1 to 2, and potassium rises from 3 to 4.

That is flowering expressed in numbers. Nitrogen drives leaf and shoot, and in bloom that is what you want to come off, because it keeps pushing the plant to grow. Phosphorus goes into flower set. Potassium steers the build and the quality of what comes, which is why it is the highest figure on the bottle.

So the changeover is not a matter of giving more but of giving differently. The dose stays the same, 5 ml per litre; what changes is what is in those 5 ml. Plagron bring Terra Bloom in from the start of the flowering phase.

That also explains why the two bottles do not replace each other but follow each other: you use them in sequence, not side by side.

pH and EC stay your job

As with Terra Grow, a mineral nutrient is immediately available and there is therefore no soil life in between regulating the values for you. Plagron recommend a pH between 5.5 and 6.5, and an EC that suits your crop and the phase it is in.

Terra Bloom does adjust your solution in part by itself, but because tap water differs from place to place not everyone starts from the same point. Measuring remains the work that comes with this range.

Dosing

Shake well before use. A maximum of 5 ml per litre of water, 1 to 200, at every watering during the flowering phase.

Terra Bloom works on all types of soil mixes and can be combined with liquid fertilisers and additives. If you are coming from this maker's organic range, watch the ratio: that one runs at 4 ml per litre rather than 5.
