Lighting — Mars Hydro

Mars Hydro makes main lighting: the fixture that hangs above your tent and does the work. That is a different product from the supplemental bars elsewhere in this category, and it is also the kind of product where specifications genuinely matter, because you rely on them when setting your height and your plant count.

The three series

The FC EVO runs from 1500 to 8000 and is the bar build with separate rails, meant for even coverage across a larger area. The FC-E runs from 1500 to 8000 in a simpler build. The TS series, with the TS-600, TS-1000, TS-3000, TSW-2000 and TSL-2000, is the compact panel for smaller tents.

Why some of our pages carry no PPF figure

For several models Mars Hydro publish more than one mutually incompatible figure for light output. That is not a detail: anyone setting plant spacing or hanging height from such a number is working with a value the manufacturer contradicts elsewhere. Where we could not settle that contradiction against an independent measurement, we leave the figure out and say so on the product page. A missing number beats a number that happens to be the wrong one of two.

And why we name no diode supplier

For the same reason we do not name a diode supplier for this series. Manufacturers change component suppliers during a model's life without changing the model name, and the claims circulating about it no longer match what is inside. We write down what is settled and leave out what is not.

Which series suits my tent?
Start from your area and the phase you grow in. The bar builds spread more evenly over a large area; a panel is more practical above a small tent.

Can I link several fixtures?
That varies per model. Check the product page for whether dimming and linking are supported.

Why does one lamp show an output figure and another not?
Because the manufacturer publishes conflicting numbers for that other lamp. We explain that on the page concerned.
