These are the parts that decide whether a tent works tidily or almost works. Ducting forced through an undersized opening leaks light, a lamp hung off the frame without the right hook pulls it out of true, and a tear in the fabric makes your whole light seal worthless. Small articles, large effect.
The flange system is the one real system choice here
A complete system hangs around the Secret Jardin flanges, and you pick one of two. The DF16 fits 16 mm tent poles and supplies flanges for 100, 125 and 150 mm ducting. The DF25 fits 25 mm poles and reaches further up, from 150 to 250 mm. So choose on your tent pole first and your duct size second, because the other way round leaves you stuck.
Making the opening cleanly, and keeping light out
A flange is only as good as the hole it sits in. The DF16CUT kit with its circle cutter makes that opening clean rather than ragged. For air intake without light, there are two answers: the DF16LB Light Baffle and the DF25LB grille, both designed to pass air while blocking light. That is exactly where a home-made inlet fails.
Repair rather than replace
The PatchIT repair kits run from 100 to 350 mm, for a tear or for a hole you cut yourself and later want closed. For the frame, Homebox supplies separate 22 mm parts: three-way and four-way connectors, a T-piece and hooks in two lengths, so you extend or repair a frame without discarding the tent.
Plants, water and cables
For plant support there are the Secret Jardin WebIT and WebTH, plus the Garden Highpro Pronet and the larger Pronet 150. Alongside them the CF7D cable port with its twin sleeve, the Carry It ballast holder, the DP Grid insert, the Water Liner for when something spills, and black-and-white sheeting on a roll for anyone light-proofing and reflecting a room themselves.
Frequently asked questions
DF16 or DF25?
That depends on your tent pole, not your ducting. Measure the pole: 16 or 25 mm. Only then look at which duct sizes that holder supplies.
Can I cut a hole in my tent myself?
You can, and with the cutting kit it becomes a round opening rather than a frayed edge. If you close it again later, there is a repair kit for that.
Why a light baffle rather than just an opening?
Because a hole passes air and light alike. A baffle passes the air and breaks the light path, which matters during a dark period.
