Lighting — For 120x60

A 120x60 rectangle needs a different lamp from a square of the same area. A round or square fixture throws its light in a circle or a block and loses it past the short sides; an elongated fixture follows the length. That is why almost everything on this page is long in shape.

Careful: the model number is not a wattage

This is the size where that confusion bites soonest. The ViparSpectra P2000 draws 200 watts, the XS2000 draws 240, and the Mars Hydro TSL-2000 carries the same figure again and is different from both. The number in the name is a model designation and nothing more. So look at the stated wattage and the stated coverage, not at the model number.

What states 120x60 on its own page

The P2000, the XS2000, the Mars Hydro FC-4000 EVO and the Lumatek Zeus 300W Pro 3.1 all state this size on their product pages. The AC Infinity IONFRAME EVO3 at 280 watts states 120x60 alongside 90x90 and so suits both shapes. The Lux-Helios Pro Fixture 300W states this size too. The TSL-2000 gives no coverage figure; choose that one on wattage and shape.

Discharge barely fits here

Only the Fertraso HPIT metal halide at 250 watts sits at this size, and that is a vegetative lamp with a bluer spectrum. For flowering a rectangle of this shape, LED is the more practical route, if only because a reflector throws a round or square pool and that is exactly what you do not want here.

Think about height, not only the floor plan

A narrow tent is often a low tent, and above your lamp goes a hanging system. An elongated fixture you can hang close above the canopy wins twice here: it follows the shape of your space and it costs less height.

Can I use a square lamp?
You can, and you will either lose light against the long walls or leave the ends behind. On a rectangle an elongated fixture works better, or two smaller ones spread along the length.

Is this the same as a 90x90?
In area barely different, in shape entirely. The IONFRAME EVO3 states both sizes; most of the other lamps here are aimed at the rectangle.
