Lighting — AC Infinity

AC Infinity's lighting falls into three roles, and the names resemble each other enough to be confused. The IONFRAME EVO is the main fixture, the IONBOARD is a single panel and the IONBEAM is a narrow bar you hang beside or below the crop.

IONFRAME EVO, from 280 to 730 watt

The EVO3 at 280 W, EVO4 at 300 W, EVO6 at 500 W and EVO8 at 730 W are the bar-style fixtures that spread light across a larger area. Choose on your footprint: a fixture too powerful for your tent costs you not only electricity but height, because you have to hang it further away to avoid burning.

IONBEAM is a supplement, not a fixture

The IONBEAM U2, U4 and S16 are bars for light where the main fixture does not reach, between plants or below the canopy. The IONBEAM Green is a case apart: green light is used to see during the dark period without disturbing the plant the way white light would. That is a work light rather than a grow light.

Why no efficiency figure per fixture appears here

Manufacturers sometimes state efficiency per diode rather than for the whole fixture, and the two numbers look alike while meaning different things. A per-diode figure says nothing about how a 730 W fixture performs against a 280 W one. Where we cannot tie a figure unambiguously to the fixture, we leave it off the page and explain that on the product page.

No, that is not what it is for. Use it alongside a main fixture.
